Post Rolex Servicing Concern...
Hi All,
So I was having challenges with getting my DJ2 to run accurate/consistently. After about a month of running my own timing testing I decided it was time to take it in to see what they had to say (still under warranty). Sure enough, it needed to be overhauled, as the bpm were low. I just got it back (about 2.5weeks) with the service receipt and all of the other little things that came along with it (travel case, polishing cloth, etc.). The service receipt states that it was regulated and some other abbreviated line item. When I went to wind the watch, loosening the crown was difficult, as it was tightened pretty hard. Also, it felt gritty compared to the way it used to (prior to service). Any thoughts on why? Also, it feels like the crown screws all the way to the case, as before, it stat nicely meeting the case. It feels to me that if the case wasn't there, I could tighten it more... My concern is that maybe they forgot to re-install the gasket in the crown? It just doesn't feel like a tight fit for some reason...Do the gaskets in the crown fall out? Would they have done pressure testing before shipping it back, even if they only regulated it? |

Yes, they would have pressure tested it if they took the caseback off.

i'm not familiar with the dj2 but whenever i send a triplock model in it always has more resistance with the new crown gasket.
but i wouldn't worry about it. |
