Icon4 Where/How She Keeps her Rolex & How I Wish She Would

I noticed how my Wife is keeping her SS watch when she is wearing the TT and vice versa in her jewelry case. Ouch!

I also recall buying her a nice leather watch case that she can keep two watches in when she is wearing one.

Disclaimer added: No battle with the little lady on how she stores her watches here, just an observation. Happy Wife, Happy Life in full affect in our house. I know this by the new boxes delivered by the UPS/FedEx/USPS carriers everyday. Can you say shopaholic?

Is this Rolex Abuse?

I wish I could treat mine like that... Shows she enjoys it and realizes it's "just a watch"

I posted a couple of weeks ago about the Datejust I gave to my wife Ann. I told her to "just wear it". Last weekend I walked into the yard and she is cleaning and trimming some of the potted plants. I asked her if she thought she should take off the watch while gardening and she reminded me of what I had told her. A couple of hours later a took a look and the bracelet is loaded with bunch of scratches. At first I was a bit upset but then thought if she is happy and really likes the watch that is all that matters. Maybe I need to be less uptight .... Although that is why the G Shock was invented. Leave the little women alone...

Bought my wife a TT DJ with jubilee bracelet some years ago because I knew she would't be gentle with her watch ... and this has come to be the case. Up close it looks well used but at a normal distance it looks just fine ... she's happy that way and even happier that I don't obsess about her watch the way I do with my 'nice' watches.

My wife wears hers 24/7/365... on my winder. I could hide it, and she'd never notice it was gone. At least your wife's is getting some use.

It's awesome that my wife wears it and likes it. She even sends me a photo of it every now and then. So I try not to get involved in what might be done to treat it nicer. Except for when it's on a counter in a tiled room! That's when I do get involved.

My wife's SS Date is stored the same way. Until I yell at her for not wearing it. Then it gets worn, without regard for scratches.

Really?

This from the forum that embraces scratches as part of the Rolex experience?

Obviously your wife just knows how to appreciate her watches more than you do...

When I look at the abuse my wife's watch has gone theough, I think I am so so happy that I bought her a rolex.
Any other brand would have had needed servicing ten times over.

It's just a watch. My lady and I bought a gilt dial 1675 together. She wears it now and again. And put our first scratch on it. And I feel surprisingly relaxed about it.

I had to laugh at the sight the OP pix. My wife had an older jewellery box that looked something similar. Chunked her platinum jewellery, gold rings, chains in a pile each night. So, I bought a nice new jewellery box, hand made, nice wood.... hoping that she would show renewed interest. No such luck. Everything was all organised and nicely taken care of for about a month.....then a knotted bundle of expensive crap again. I swear it's like having a menopausal daughter sometimes.

I also can't stand when she uses my car. Empty water bottles, food crumbs, Starbucks coffee mug etc... We simply take care of our things very differently.
