Vintage Rolexes ...
Hi, my brother reached out to me re: a nice vintage Rolex for his son's college graduation present. My brother asked what would be a good source for vintage Rolexes and what would be a good source for getting up to speed on vintage Rolexes. He's talking about spending maybe in the $2k-$3k range. I realize options are limited in this price range but still thought I'd post his inquiry. The first thing I explained to him is that "vintage" is a relative term. Input is greatly appreciated. Thx

Datejust is you're only option. Unless you want to go "antique" 20's era.

You can also find a very nice Air King well inside this price range, or an OP, or an OP Date. In fact there is much to choose from beyond the DateJust.

I would go with a date just. But check if his son likes an oyster bracelet versus a jubilee as there are a bit of variation regarding what you can get.
