Perlon Straps - yay or nay?

Pretty cheap, unique look with more variety than a rubber b.

But I'm still on the fence. The Instagram pic is not me.

They're typically under $20, so worth a try. I've been looking for a 20mm nato perlon/tropic, but only standard straps are available in the correct size

Interesting. Looks very comfortable. Where can I find a perlon strap for my Panerai?

I like Perlon straps a lot more than NATO style straps, they're more interesting and the fact that they're almost infinitely adjustable is nice for those whose wrist falls inbetween two holes on the NATO.

You can find lots of Perlon straps on eBay, but I don't think you'll find anything that will fit your Panerai, the widest I've seen them in was 22mm and even that is pretty rare. Most of them are <= 20mm

I agree. I have tried a lot of straps but always come back to the bracelet.

They look good and what I've liked most about the perlon strap is the fact that it does not hold water/sweat. Literally does not stay wet much like a rubber strap with a woven look.
HOWEVER, as for comfort: I prefer the oyster bracelet 1st, Rubber 2nd and Perlon 3rd.
AND for those of you that it will bother (and you know who you are) the perlon strap WILL mark the case back of your Rolex if worn over time. But relax, you can always get a case back sticker to slap on when you want to wear perlon.

Good points! But I'm pretty sure a NATO strap will damage the case back too but only if you expose it do dirt. Using NATO/Perlon on the beach where you get sand in the fabric is not good unless you rinse it properly afterwards.

The strap in the first picture is from www.whatchs.com obviously

I'm also one who prefers the bracelet but it can be fun to spice it up with some color now and then. Some more from the same IG:

Haha, i guess that is the angle of the shot and the lack of bracelet that create the "gorilla effect"
