Help to identify Rolex perpetual oyster datejust
Dear members,
I bought this watch as a present from a private seller. Would want to be sure since it is a present. Would you please help me to identify it and let me what grade it is. I don't want to be the case that I bought a fake or it is genuine but "rubbish". thanks a million! Best Regards, Jen $_57 (1).jpg $_57 (2).jpg $_57 (3).jpg $_57 (4).jpg $_57 (5).jpg |

The watch arrived. it has R2617XX at 6 o'clock and 69173 at 12 o'clock. TimeToGo was right on the Model.
So it was made around 1987? not as what the seller said ca.1970? It also has a problem that it runs 5 seconds faster for every 1 minute. Initially when I tried to wind it, almost made the whole movement vibrate and the dial moved a little. After a couple of winds, the resistant reduced and it was fine, easy to wind. Is this strange? I will have to bring it to the watchmaker to get it checked out. Thanks, Jen |

Yes, get it checked out. You usually should with vintage watches unless there is documented proof of a recent service.
