Which WG would you choose? WG blue Sub VS WG PepC Gmt

I dont know if there has been a pool about this, but curious to know, for everyone here, which would you choose if you were to pick one of these beauty assuming you dont have one.

And for lucky guy who happened to have both, which would you choose between these two if you have to own only one WG. Thanks in advance for participating

Very tough call, I got them both when they first came out so have had the Smurf for years but ....

I really love them both, but just like if a one and only I usually go GMT over sub cause of the added time zone feature.

So no way can I choose one or the other on looks or feel as both amazing, I would go GMT, cause honestly has the extra time zone and may be a little more versatile color wise than the very blue Smurf

I voted for BLRO because it has the useful time zone functionality and IMO it can easily be match with with different colours of clothes due to it's black dial and red & blue bezel.

I voted GMT because the black dial makes it easier to wear in formal settings

I prefer the green on the hulk vs. the blue on the smurf. Therefore, I'd get the BLRO.

I tend to agree with this. Although, purely between the BLRO and the 169 I'd pick the Smurf

The blue Smurf is really dazzling in person, while the BLRO kinda has a purple hue to the bezel that I don't care for.

Smurf. I still can't get myself to like the purplish tone of the PepC bezel under certain lighting. It's very sad, since I wanted to like that watch so badly...

BLRO of course and by a mile.

To me, the subdued colors of the new bezel harkens back to the 6542 Pussy Galore's bakelite so while it may be PM, since it's WG visually it's a modern rendition of the original icon from 1954. Same colors, same date/cyclops, same 24-hour hand. It's no more showy to the average eye than the original especially if you consider they could come with blingier Jubilee bracelets, and if you time-traveled back to the 1950's with a BLRO manufactured 60 years later in 2014 it would immediately be recognized as a GMT.

The Smurf, on the other hand, is obviously "Look at me" showpiece jewelry. If you took one back to the 1950's, with its date/cyclops and startling bright blue color you'd have to actually explain that it's a Sub to anyone not reading the fine print on the dial. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but aesthetically it's really only a nod to itself and not in any way "classic".

Between the 2, the GMT is in-keeping with the original icon in terms of looks and bling-factor, whereas the Smurf's change of both is radical and nothing like its original. That difference (plus the BLRO's aviation heritage and functionality) makes the choice a very easy one for me.

WG Sub for me.

I like divers more than GMTs.

To me, the WG version of the Sub is also more "unique" in that there is no SS "equivalent" Sub that comes with a blue face.
