RSC pickup expectations
Just curious if anyone can share their experiences when picking up their watch. Approx how long is the whole experience (kind of on a tight sched)?
Also, in the unfortunate event that I'm not pleased with something they might have done, does that have to be examined and addressed right on the spot? For example over polishing, or bezel work (it's a 16622 YM), etc... Or if there is anything else I should look out for, ask for or expect - please share. Like a pouch and polishing cloths I've read? Thanks in advance! Right now I'm hoping to get there first thing Friday morning. |

Based on my experience with Rolex Service Centers, the problems seem to lie in the fact that they don't always do what they are asked to do or what they say they will do (or NOT do)...
Example: PLEASE DO NOT POLISH MY WATCH...!!! And they go ahead and polish it anyway... EXAMPLE: PLEASE DO NOT SWAP OUT MY BEZEL INSERT...!!! And they go ahead and do it anyway... EXAMPLE: PLEASE DO NOT SWAP OUT THE HANDS...!!! And they go ahead and do it anyway... All this, after being told when you drop off (Or send in) your watch that your requests are "No problem"...!!! |

Luckily, my local Rolex AD does their certified Rolex services on-site so I can talk directly with the watchmaker who will be doing the service (and the turnaround times are much faster). I also have them type out exactly what I want on the receipt so it clearly says "do not polish case or bracelet" or whatever other specific instructions I have. They will also call me with an estimate and tell me exactly what they're doing and what parts they're replacing before starting any work. I'm not sure if the RSC has the exact same process, but I would think it would be very similar.
