Seamaster 300 Master Co-Axial: Black Steel or Blue Titanium?!

I've decided to buy the amazing new Omega Seamaster 300 Master Co-Axial, but I am not sure what would be the best option:
The Black Steel model that is closer to the original from 1957 or the the lighter and more sophisticated Blue Titanium model, but more expensive and not so vintage like the Black one??!!
I need some help - please - to decide.

They're both very nice looking to my eye, so it's difficult to pick a favourite. My personal take would be...if it was my one and only watch, I would go black dial, no question. The look is classic and versatile. If I was adding to a collection, I'd go with the blue dial titanium, for the uniqueness factor, and I'd choose another black dial dive watch such as a sub and not look back.

I prefer the Blue Titanium. 1. More unique as it stands out from the sea of black divers and 2. more comfortable due to the lightness of the Titanium.

I've seen them all in person.........not a fan at all of the Titanium Blue/Rose in person. Pics look great but in person, kind of cheap looking. The Black dial, SS case and bracelet is by far the best looking of the bunch. I do however believe they ruined this watch with the PCLs..would have been so much cooler brushed......oh well!!

Its a pretty easy fix to un-ruin it then

Anyway, I've only tried on the black one and it was really nice. Judging from pics the faux patina blends better with the blue dial.

I agree like on all sport watches PCL's are out of place, but I would just brush them off, I guess for 60-100$ you can have it done…

I would take the blue one, you talk about vintage look of the black one, never been a big fan of watches being made to look like vintage ones, plus I love blue...

If it were me, I'd get the black ... I love the look of the original and while the blue is nice, the black just seems classic and versatile.

I decided on the black dial, and I love it. Hard for anything else to get much wrist time for the past few months since this arrived. It's on the oem Omega NATO currently:

Thanks. I can thank my wife for that, she bought me this strap as a Christmas present and this was the strap she liked the best. Good taste by her I guess!!

Marcus, bem-vindo!

Is this going to be your only watch?! If so, black is a safer bet... on a rotation, however, the blue titanium would look amazing and give you some variety!

Good luck deciding!

Blue titanium. It looks amazing in pics and the colored lume seems to match better to the blue dial and bezel.

while I love the classic black and would be very pleased to add that to my collection, I think the blue is the way to go here, in my humble opinion, because the patina goes better with blue and the lightness of titanium makes it very comfortable

The SM Co-Ax in black is a beautiful watch. I have my Speedy Pro to keep me company until I purchase one.

I stopped in the closest boutique from my house yesterday. They are both way better in person than pictures on a forum. My next watch will be the SS version. I was lead to believe that they were way too thick but I didn't think they were that bad, at all. I was wearing my SubC w/date and the Omega didn't feel that much bigger.

I tried them both on and the Blue is stunning.

The bezel looks a little large in person. It just feels like it's going to stick out there a too much.

I preferred the black in person. The ti has a cool factor, but I feel the steel and black combo is more classic Omega.

I've had several blue dials in my collection over the years. Notice the emphasis on had.

I have a SS with black dial 300 Master incoming.

I love this watch, and may even break my cardinal rule of collecting (no two watches can have the same role in my collection)...Currently, the role the SM300 would take is occupied by the LMLE....

Fr. John, Do you still have your LM? Do you see room for both?

I suppose the PCL could be a way for me to rationalize it in my twisted mind...

I sacrificed my LMLE to cover my wife's hearing aids a couple of years ago. After a brief encounter with an 8500 PO, I went back to a modded 2254.50:

After reading all the reviews of the 300 Master Co-axial, I placed my order and expected it to arrive last week but shipment has been delayed. I like the vintage look of the 300 and thought it would be a nice complement to my FOIS. My only reservation is the thickness of the case and how it will wear on my round wrist.

As for my collection, I only have room for one diver so it will require choosing between the 300 and the 2254.50. Stay tuned.

IMHO. Blue. Easy choice.

Both nice, but blue is more unique and way more comfortable.
