Does the GMT BLNR become boring?
What do you say?
At this time, the black and blue is extremely appealing and a stunner. The extra color does sing to me in pictures at least. Waiting for my AD to get the new batch next week so I can finally try one on. Have had my eye on this one for a while. I usually prefer to wait a while before I pull the trigger on a watch, and then always keep it. I am not a collector and only plan to have 5-7 watches(currently at 2) which I ideally don't want to flip any of. I wait before my next purchase, and buy it from the AD for the experience, and I like the warranty card to be under my name. Just worried if the black blue combination will stop being so "cool" and appealing. I know you can't go wrong with the LN black version, but I find the blnr more unique, which is even nicer. |

No, I didn't find it boring it all when I had it...but I did grow to understand that I liked the LN version better.

I hope you are on the waiting list. The BLNR do not last too long so get it while you can. It's like looking at your kids- puts a smile on your face in any situation

Nice colour combination but I vote for all black bezel. Black never bores.

The BLNR is one hell of a watch!
I am mesmerized by it every time I touch it, there are no photos that can do it justice. The ceramic bezel changes colour with light, the smoothness of rotating the bezel is finesse, and how the blue GMT needle disappears on the dial making the hands looking like they are all floating. I can go on and on It is not just another day in the office For sure these gorgeous new creations are going to cost another pretty penny |

I like the fact that the BLNR allows the wearer to differentiate day / night like the original purpose built GMT did. The LN is no slouch either.

While the AD may not let you before purchase, take the BLNR in different lighting conditions. You will find that the color is actually Black and fifty shades of Grey, Black and Blue.

It might if it were your only piece. You could get bored of any watch after a while. I'll wager you'll want to pick it up after some time has passed to rediscover it. Happens a lot to me anyway.

BLNR ftw !!!
Now, owning the Hulk as well, I'm in love with it and enthused wearing it (Hulk) but still have stronger heartbeats for the BLNR... Never boring, forever a keeper !

All watches become boring.
At least for me they do.

I really like the BLNR but imagine if I owned one that I would find myself wanting the LN at times and in certain situations.

I'm not sure I'm qualified to speak on this since I've only owned the watch for 2 weeks but I'll offer my thoughts. The greatest thing about the BLNR which I don't think any other "colored" watch in Rolex's lineup can say is it's subtlety. Half the time you can barely make out the blue on the bezel in most indoor lighting situations. The neat thing tho is even when the blue isn't prominent it kind of tricks your eye enough because it's so close to the black that it creates a gray or silvery effect on the whole bezel. This is a totally different effect from the Coke or Pepsi bezel where the contrast between the colors is striking. There are of course those well lit environments where the blue does pop but even then it's only on half the bezel and the other half along with dial being black still dominate. I quite like the effect as often times I'm left wanting more blue...it's literally just a splash or hint of blue. As a result I think it will be difficult to become bored with the watch as u almost get the benefits of having the versatility of a black watch and the excitement of color. I've had a couple people who've noticed I had a new watch on actually ask me if was blue because on first glance the couldn't tell. I think that's pretty cool. it's hard to get bored with something that subtle...I'll report back in a couple months with an update, I'm curious to hear from posters who've owned it more than a year.
