Record Holder ?
Hello fellow members. Is there anyone else out there who can claim to be the longest owner of a Rolex watch, other than my S/S Tudor Prince Oysterdate which I purchased new from an AD in 1956? The watch and bracelet are still in pristine condition, although to keep the bracelet links tight I have had to replace most of the Z springs from my now limited stock of springs which the Rolex repair centre in London sent me following one of the several watch servicings I had for the watch in the 1960's, until at the last service I was told the parts for the movement were becoming difficult to obtain.

59 years of continual ownership is rather impressive! I've not even owned my wrists for that long!

As an OAP I shall have to try to learn how to load a pic of my Oysterdate. I bought the watch in Singapore during a short R&R after a posting to Malaya. The watch I took out there was an Oris, but within a few weeks this watch stopped due to humidity. As I was keen to go swimming at Pt.Dickson where there was a shallow coral, I bought the Tudor because at that time there was no other waterproof watch.
