Flipping my BLNR

I know most of you guys will think I'm nuts. Many probably do already. But I just don't love my Rolex watches anymore.

I've come back to the brand a few times. And I like a few of the new releases, but for now I'm cutting back to one.

Nothing has ever really been safe in my collection, but the BLNR was supposed to be a keeper for a few reasons. Yet, I dont, and won't wear it. I've tried. I just always take it right off.

The little lady agreed and flipping for a brandy new Omega that is on its way.

The pics of the new 300 blew me away. I didn't love it in person. But each time I saw it in the steel, I liked it more and more. It grew on me quite a bit. And then the blue titanium was tried on. Love the comfort and styling. Pics to come when it arrives.

Motto if this story, no watch is safe in my collection.

Nothing wrong with switching brands. I am also a fan of other brands...

Looking forward to the Omega incoming...

I understand perfectly and feel the same way (though my own love affair isn't with Omega). You can always get it back anyway.

I'm an Omega convert as well. Nothing wrong with the 300 at all. In my case it was the Aqua Terra's siren call

It's my favorite of the 300s but the center links seem disproportionately wide to me. If I could get over that, I'd get one too.

You're not kidding. The BLNR was the wedding watch, right?
Congrats on the incoming

ha. yeah, exactly.

considering i was not wearing it, i was

and if this is any indication of where this comes from...

i just had a conversation with my father not 20 minutes ago. he asked if he could flip my WG DDII and get the YG version. i guess the apple does not fall far from the tree.

I say if it doesn't sing to you, move on. I got these pictures from my AD who is in Basel and thought they were both very sharp. Will look at them when in stock.

If no longer inspiring, move it along. That goes for everything in life. Your money and time ought to sent on thing you love. Life is too short, not to be a little fickle. Try it all, drink it in, I say.

Are you still interested in the BLRO - or has that gone for you too? It has for me a little since trying it on a second time and it didn't have the same pop under normal lighting conditions.

Hey Neil. I was thinking about that just today.

I still love the BLRO. I have seen it a few times, tried on only the one time. I've yet to see it in the wild. I do think it will always occupy a space in my Grail list.

Yet, unless I hit it much bigger in my near future, I just don't believe I'll be spending the money on it. If like the 19 it comes way down in price in a few years, it's more of a possibility.

Currently, I want another DD2. I'd like to get it in a different gold than I have got. I just really like that watch. Every iteration of it.

And because of that, and various other reasons, I'm very interested in what the DD40 will look and feel like.

I still think if go 41mm, but I'd like to check it out and see.

On top of that the RG YM is also taking up space in my brain.

Point is...while I love the BLRO, for a PM watch, there is a lot of competition.

Interesting points Seth, the RG YM is on my mind as well.

You'll be back, ask me how I know. I used to be the same way constantly buying and selling, but now I just keep adding instead of constantly flipping. I finally love my collection and wouldn't think about getting rid of any of them. Good luck with the new purchase.

The new Seamster 300 is a beauty for sure. I love everything about the watch, especially the pcls. It is one of the few rereleases that captures the true design and essence of it's predecessor.
Congrats.

On the flip side of this, I'm actually preparing to buy a BLNR, so go figure.

For the same reason as you, I tend to keep at least one watch of each brand. If I don't, I always end up buying another one (lose money).

Funniest part about that is I almost never post incomings anymore. I realized they were getting redundabt.

Tell you one thing tho, I'm having fun with watches again. I had slowed down for a bit. But my interest has again been piqued.

The part that is not funny is that I've got the same reputation with cars.

Tell me you still have the Mustang Seth? Has all gone wrong someone pinch me

Can't blame you! That's a killer omega and if it was brushed Id consider it myself. Coming to the realization that my blnr on glide lock doesn't sit well with me and pcls will never sit well with me. ON TO THE NEXT!
