Reserved a TT but what about my SS

Need a little help here, I've only had my SS Sub for around 4 months and it's awesome... However, there hasn't been a day go by that I don't view pictures of a TT blue dial Sub. So.... I've reserved one and had planned to flip my SS.

But I'm not sure I can let go of it... damn it! What shall I do?

Benefits of keeping both? 2 subs?

Keep both for a while and then decide. One for dress up and one for casual. See what gets your motor going once you have them both. You wont be sorry.

I dod this once and Im glad I did. I only old a few hundred bucks in the transaction. The price of getting EXACTLY what you want.

Since you don't have to flip the SS piece to fund the TT, why move it before you acquire the TT LB? Once you have both you'll see how you feel. If one or the other ends up getting no wrist time then at least you'll know what to do rather than having flipped the LN and been left wondering if you should have.

If it turns out the LN isn't cutting it anymore either sell it or flip it for something else, a GMT perhaps. But at least at that point there won't be the uncertainty of it.

Best of luck.

Years ago I had to make a similar decision....I had TT Blue Sub first.
I wound up getting the SD.

I know it might seem strange to own 2 of the same watch to a normal person....but you are asking the wrong group of people

There are people here that own mutiple versions of SS / TT and all gold subs....you can't have too many

As someone suggested...if you can do both for now and decide later

Good Luck

Thank you for your comments... It's going to be a tough one, but I have a couple of days to decide... Ideally I would prefer not to have money tied up in both watches but it wouldn't be the end of the world.

This is when I tried one on...

Don't think I could do it... see how things look in 6 months time but I think they'll both get a lot of wear.

I LOVE my TT BLue sub!!!!!

My advice is to flip the SS Sub later and get a GMT, Explorer or something else that is more of a contrast. I like variety.

Maybe even an SD4000 just to be different?

Sale the SS. No point keeping two subs if you will be spending most of yor time wearing the TT. IMHO, SS subs are overrated.. way too many around!!

Keep both! Maybe buy a nato or leather strap to switch it up for the SS Sub! ;)

I had a black sub which I loved but traded it for a blue dial, it just stole my heart, so let me enable you too, and it does look great on you.

If money is of no concern, then I would keep both. They are both Subs, but the colours are so drastic, that they can co-exist in the same collection.

I have a navy suit; I have a grey suit; I have a navy suit... but with pinstripes; I have a grey suit, but it has three buttons, not two.

The watches are different, even if similar. You'll wear them for different looks. Don't feel weird about that. Enjoy them both. You don't really need a reason beyond, "I want to."

Hang on to them for a bit. With the recent price increase in Canada, it seems local grey market dealers in the US may be running low on arbitrage'd watches meaning prices could start creeping up for used watches.

Why sell it now if you don't have to?!

Keep them both for awhile, wear the SS for everyday, the TT for special occasions, etc. (kind of like changing out of your school and church clothes to go out and play, lol).

You can always flip the SS if you need/want to. Just my .02!

Funny I started out with a TT sub and flipped it to buy a SS sub. TT just did not work for me on a tool watch.

You need two - otherwise just think how lost you're gonna feel when overhaul time comes

But you may not need 2 Subs. So I'd get the TT and wait 6 months to know which really works out to be the better keeper. Then trade out the loser and get something completely different.

My wife also thinks I should keep both... Reading all these comments I think I will... and as highlighted above I could always flip in the future or sell one on.

We shall see :)
