I purchased a brand new 116710LN last year in May (2014) and I've noticed that the bracelet is getting a little looser. There's no droop, but when I hold the watch up I can make the bracelet wiggle a little. I have worn it about 80% of the time since I purchased it, if that matters at all.

Is this a normal condition for modern Rolexes or should I get it checked out?

Not so much loose as loose on the wrist, but loose when held up off the wrist. It appears as there is some stretch in the bracelet.

Is that normal? I thought it wasn't supposed to happen to modern rolexes.

I would imagine a minor amount of stretch affects all Rolex bracelets after some time, regardless of whether it's newer or older bracelets. And not just Rolex, but all watch bracelets in general.

How much and how fast the bracelet will eventually stretch over time can most likely be influenced by how tight you wear your watch, and how often you rinse it under running water. The running theory is that grime (oils, dead skin cells, dust etc.) that gets in-between the links can expedite the bracelet's stretch. Either way, I wouldn't sweat it—enjoy your watch!

Don't just rinse it but scrub it with a very soft toothbrush and hand soap. If you want to take it even further, use Veraet for the final washing as it makes it sparkle! If you want to go ALL the way, remove bracelet from watch and use an ultrasonic cleaner every six months or so.
I wash mine every Friday night. It's become a ritual. Yeah, I'm a bit OCD!
