View from your bedroom window...

Here is mine...

The Chicago skyline, at night, from eight floors up and about 16 miles northwest from the heart of the city. Thank goodness, a lot of forest area in between me and the city... Let's see your pictures, day or night. No planes in the sky. O'Hare (ORD) is quiet this time of night.

The John Handcock building on the left and the Sears Tower on the far right. You can walk from one building to the other on a good day. It is a nice walk and great way to see the great City of Chicago. Give me a P/M if you are ever visiting the city.

Wow, that's such a pretty view Brian! I won't even bother taking a picture for this though, I have a basement bedroom so all I see is the bottom of a tree and the feet of some patio furniture, and that's only if I crane my neck up!

Ash, it's the feet of the dogs walking by that have to get you crazy though. Hehe...

Only because I desperately want a dog! There was this beautiful Rotti at the pound a few weeks ago, I would've snapped him up so fast if I had the means to do so! (Money, space, permission... )

Let's see.... view from the south bedroom window is of the basement steps and garage. Not too interesting. View from the east window is of our porch and the neighbor's overgrown shrubs. So much for that! I've already posted pics of my neighborhood street, I think, but here's one from a couple months ago. The trees still show a lot of the damage from the December ice storm.

Chicago Skyline @ 6:45 PM

Here is an early evening shot. Trev, your shot still looks more like a vacation though.

Trev, In your first picture at the bottom, are the yellow boats water taxis?

It's a suburb called Surfers Paradise, on the Gold Coast in Queensland (Australia). The river in the photo leads straight to the ocean around the next corner, and the broadwater.

For the photos, I just used the 'insert image' button, and linked directly to a couple of my photos on Flickr.

Trev, Your place is near identical to the "Ocean Trails Condominiums" in Jupiter, Florida. It's been seven years since I been there. If some family issues are ever resolved, guess where I'll be. Someday, Someday, Someday.

Our bedroom window looks out on the backyard, but is currently blocked by the trees.

Can't tell if that's an old house or a new house?

That doesn't surprise me! Much of the city here is heavily inspired by Miami and Fort Lauderdale. There's even a "Miami" suburb just south of here. There was basically nothing here in the 60's, most of it is new, and modelled after other beach-front cities.

My bedroom is a loft with a couple of skylights. Look up into the sky and you'll see the same thing I do when I look out my bedroom window.

There's actually quite a few places with views like that around here, a lot of them even better! Here's a few shots from an apartment across the road from us in a building called Circle on Cavil (it was on a real estate website). The apartment is a sub-penthouse on the 67th floor:

Our apartment is actually in this last shot, the white high-rise in the lower left:

There's some pretty inspiring views once you get up to the 70 floor mark :)
