Anybody own a Dodge Viper? I just bought one and was curious...

If you own one do you track it? Daily drive it? Any mods?

I just bought a never titled 2014 and it had 30 miles on it. I've put 850 miles on it. The only thing I hate is the blind spot behind the b pillar.

It is so much different than my 15 Z06 even though they have almost the same horsepower.

Anyone a Dodge or Mopar guy? Part of a Viper club? Anyone own a Hellcat?

Cheers! Life is great!

Mark

Nice car, every time I think of a Dodge viper I now am reminded by this video (just don't off-road it haha):

Lol!

That video was hilarious, but sad too. They didn't respect those awesome beasts! Ouch is an understatement...

You know a guy is someone you want nothing to do with when he wears cut off camo cargos and flip flops to do performance testing

Hey texex I just figured after all of the positive comments people gave you (including me) you would do the same!

I did...let me type slower for you...as I originally said "enjoy your new purchase".

What I don't understand is why you are reposting this thread again.

But so you don't feel offended, I will say it again "enjoy your new purchase".

Well that train wreck thread got closed and fell off the feed, so this is a variation of a thread bump I suppose?
I'm not really much of a car person myself, but enjoy your new wheels.

Thank you. I've learned to have thick skin in here.

I'll probably leave it alone but wanted to know if there were any Dodge/Mopar guys in here.

Thank you for the kind words.

That was the pic the dealer had of the car before I bought it.

It sat for a year before they discounted it.

I have a friend in L.A. that owns a Viper shop. It's called SPT. http://specialtyperformanceteam.com/shop/pc/home.asp

Dan Cragin is a very good Viper tech, and honest as the day is long.

I'm a mopar guy. Love the old muscle and the new. I couldn't fit in a viper so I prefer challenger. I have a scat pack shaker on order with a build date for week of May 11th.

My 5 year plan has me replacing that with a hellcat next. The 14 GT500 is never leaving me.
I much prefer ford and mopar to gm but that's just my opinion.

My Viper

Congrats on your purchase!!!

I love my car, its an 04 with no mods.

These cars (older models) are built for speed - that's basically it.

I love the new models but couldn't but buy a viper that isn't convertible...

Love vipers!

Daunwaun,

Very cool looking Viper! Thank you for posting pictures. How many horsepower?

Convertibles are great.
