GPS connected to laptop

I just bought a motorhome and will be hitting the road in a couple of weeks.

Is there a way to get a GPS connection through the laptop without being internet connected?

I bought Microsofts street program a few years back but unfortunately they have disconnected the European map section now so it's useless. It was great having the map on a larger screen.

I tried Google it but all I can find is versions that have bluetooth on the laptop which I don't have.

Any ideas?

Just get a USB GPS antenna if your laptop not is that old as your PC at home.

Yes, GPS and Internet is not the same.

But why not just buy a Garmin Nav?

Thanks for the tip Jocke, I'll check out that antenna.

I have a Garmin but figured since I have the space up front for a laptop it's so much better with a large screen.

I guess you have not much time, if so there is cheaper antennas at Ebay.

So you will have a larger display in the car than you have at home?
