Rubber B strap

It arrived today and looks pretty nice for a temporary bit of fun until I get bored.
However I do have a concern. The wall thickness of the rubber that holds a pin connecting the strap to the clasp is 1mm. Obviously it can't be more.
The rubber is pretty soft and flexy, more so on a warm wrist on a sunny day I imagine.
I cant quite believe 1mm rubber, quality vulcanized as it is is going to withstand any sort of accidental pull or a knock.
What are your thoughts? Leave it to Rolex who know what they're doing or trust my precious ticker to an aftermarket strap?

RubberB is a quality strap made specifically for your watch and I've yet to hear of one that has failed. As long as it's applied correctly, I wouldn't be concerned.

The spring bars will bend before the rubber fails.

While I agree they look nice in photo's I wouldn't have the heart to replace that beautiful oyster bracelet.

Hmm. I'm looking at both and have to agree. The Rubber B is precisely made and does look good but sadly it's no way as lovely as the steel.

I guess the grass isn't always as orange on the other side.

While I agree that the SS bracelet looks the best, the RubberB does look better on some watches than others. A black RubberB on a black dial Sub, for example, looks really sharp and gives the watch a more casual look.

I thought the orange strap would accent the orange 24h hand on m Eplorer. 2. It seems to in all the pics I saw! In reality it just looks too 'comedy'. Still, I appreciate some like the look and on the right watch I'm sure it's a different story.

I had a Rubber B on my '08 Sub and only sold it because it was a little too short for me.[tang buckle version]
It won't break easily. There is a LOT of good design in that product. Enjoy.

Don't worry, it'll be fine. Love my bracelet but wearing mine on the Rubber B all the time at the moment - just like the more laid back, toolish look

Put the Rubber B on last week. I'm more active in the summer so less scratches on the SS bracelet
