BLNR a cool watch for casual summer days in shorts?

What do you think?
I sometimes feel a little bit overdressed with it when I am wearing shorts and a t shirt / flip flops.
Is it just in my head?
I do love the PCLs and don't plan on brushing them off, but just feel a little dressy to wear it with shorts.

Also, out of curiosity. Is a steel bracelet what you guys usually wear in summer time? Or would you rather switch to rubber?

My GF says it is the perfect and chilled out watch for casual attire.
Maybe she wants me to buy her a watch too!

Appreciate the responses!

That design and style is versatile and not overly dressy imo

Straps look good for the summer...also lighter on the wrists

I find BLNR good with any attire!

Haven't done a Rolex on rubber strap yet...

For me....summertime + rubber strap = AP

A NATO can be a little cooler!

I got it because I thought the splash of color makes it fine for casual wear. Yet, the PCLs and the fact that the color is more subtle (than my 16710 Pepsi for example) would make it also appropriate for more professional attire. IMHO, it is a fairly versatile piece.

I brushed out the PCL's on my BLNR partly for this reason. Its too fancy and blingy for my typical attire which is ultra casual most of the time....old t-shirts and faded jeans just didn't go with pcl's in my opinion...BCL's are perfect.

It is up to the individual. I feel just as comfortable wearing my YG Day Date or YG Sub with shorts and a t-shirt as I do with my SS BLNR or SS Sub. Maybe it is because I am in my fifties or maybe it's because I am old enough not to care what others think of me. After work, my standard outfit is shorts, a polo shirt or t-shirt and Teva sandals.

I think its perfectly fine for a t-shirt and shorts. I wear my Daytona with casual clothes all the time.

I never color match or pay any attention what cloth I wear to my watches.
In the end, it's just a watch!

The BLNR is perfect for casual situations IMHO. That's the only time I wear mine. Personally I don't mind being a little flashy in casual situations. It's professional/formal situations that I like my watch to be more subtle- that's when I wear my explorer.

All modern SS watches go with anything. They are all dress watches and all go good with casual wear. My everyday look consists of Under Armour Polo and Shorts with a ball-cap and loafers I rotate all my pieces, even my Date-Just.

It's hard to be overdressed with any Rolex. Even a solid gold DD pairs with jeans and a tshirt

I actually do find it hard to wear my 1803 when I'm in shorts and a t-shirt, but any sport watch works just fine.

Doesn't get more perfect for a flip flop/shorts watch. Can also dress up as needed--grab it!

A bright summer day is great for finding new angles to appreciate the bezel in.

To be honest I don't find most Rolex's to be dressy watches. It's kind of hard to be under or over dressed for a Rolex watch. They are chameleon watches for the most part and kind of take on the attitude of whatever you have on.

Jeans and tshirts for me all the time.

I have so many tshirts that my dry cleaner guy laughs at me, but he hasn't seen even a quarter of the ones I have. Most are black.

I have a good supply of jeans, too.

I wear a Rolex almost all the time, except when I decide to wear my lesser watches for awhile.

There's no right or wrong watch when it comes to attire.

Now, in my opinion there are right and wrong watches for occasions and the attire they dictate.
