1958 Rolex Submariner 5508 Tropical Brown Gilt Dial

Up for grabs is a Rolex Submariner "NCG"

5508 reference

406433 serial number circa late 1958 production

Excellent condition case with thick and even lugs. Original bevels are still very evident on each lug. The numbers show wear down from bracelet, but still intact and visible, it was hard to capture with camera, but you can make out the serial number for sure in my pictures.

The dial is original SWISS only chapter ring gilt and has aged to a warm brown color. Some of the plots have been touched up very long ago, but it was a neat job and color is very attractive in person. The dial is not refinished and all print is original.

Bezel insert shows browning in the sun as seen in some of pics.

Caseback is excellent, stamped 5508 and III.1958 inside

No box or papers. No documented service history.
