Icon20 Greubel Forsey GMT review

Greetings to everybody from Istanbul.

I had a possibility to spent couple of days with this masterpiece and I wanted to share the review with you. All of the photos are live and taken by our team.

Insane.

Only thing I don't like about GF is the 43+ mm size on something that go under the category of dress watches...

Love it or hate it... That really is a cool and funky looking watch.

Anyone know what they go for?

The least expensive GF starts at around $350K-$400K. The GMT should be closer to $600K depending on the metal.

I found the world time on the reverse side of the dial to be fascinating as it separates cities that adjust time for daylight savings vs those that don't. The rotating globe is a cool feature too.

Great photos and thanks for the review!

Interesting piece but it looks like someone accidentally left in on a hot stove.

Thanks for the pics and review. Seeing this watch in person you can really appreciate the depth and finishing. That said, I do agree it is an odd design language. Still if I played in this arena, I would almost certainly consider one just to watch the awesome globe

I love this brand, amazing workmanship - I am doing a lot of research before taking the plunge though.

I am not sure I like this piece though although there is no doubting the interesting functionality - I think the case shape is the problem for me, I prefer this one:

Workmanship is the best, above commercial brand like Patek and AP.

This one is also very nice like almost all the other models in GF collection. But I would highly advise you to try the GMT on your wrist before you decide.

That asymetry on the case looks really different and attractive. Also the globe functions is unique and eyecatcher.

Guys, guys. Can we stick with Mille for a couple more years before switching to GF?

At the $300-$500k price point for GF, I'd be happy to stick with the 'less expensive' RM

Honestly I think GF is getting some buzz now (in high $ circles--lot of VC guys in CA are into them), but don't think secondary will be great. We'll have to wait and see.

Again, not being into dress watches, no matter the price it's not on my radar

I admire their watches and the complications that they are able to build into the watches.

Some are more practical than others.

And for that reason, I'm with Roger, for the piece that he has included :)

Though, the price maybe a bit of a damper for me :)))))))

Can be had with 50% off if you do your homework, so that helps, but still expensive pieces!!

That's better than what I was able to find out, I was quoted 35% off, not that I am buying one anytime soon.....
