A bit disappointed..
My DJ II is only eight months old but it started losing about six minutes a day since the start of the week. Before that it used to run about + 1-2 secs a day.
I haven't done anything differently with the watch other than it sat in a safe for 3 weeks whilst I was on vacation. I use it on rotation with my BLNR using it during the week when I wear a suit and then the BLNR on evenings and weekends. I would give it a full wind when I put it back on at the start of the week and had no issues until now. Anyway, I dropped it off at the local service centre last night and they are going to keep it for 3-4 days to test and observe it. I hope that this is a quick fix but I am resigned to losing it for several weeks. I suppose I could look on the bright side as this may give my speedmaster the opportunity for some wrist time as it has hardly been out of the watch box the last 12 months. |

Lets get things perfectly straight about any watch that shows signs of being magnetised.First in general they will run very very erratic speed up normally and not by a couple of seconds minutes or even hours or stop and refuse to start.In general most timing errors is simply down to how the owner was testing plus the state of power reserve in the mainspring.There is no reason for any watch to start losing time just because its not been worn for a few weeks.Its possible the movement could have been stopped for many months before it was sold and its not magnetised that's for sure.

Very disappointing but it's a machine and these things unfortunately happen. Hopeful it will be an easy quick fix. Enjoy the Omega for now, keep us posted.

I fully wound the watch on Sunday morning and wore to work. I noticed Monday morning that it was running 6 mins slow. I wore the watch on Monday at work and regularly checked the time against time.is through the day and could see that the watch was losing time. I decided to let the watch run down and re-wind to see if this fixed it. By Tuesday morning the watch was running about 13 mins slow. The watch stopped about 3 pm on Wednesday afternoon (which was about 48 hours after i it put back in the watch box). I then gave a full rewind (40 full turns) reset the time and wore the watch for about an hour then checked against time.is again and sadly noted that it had lost about 17 secs. So I immediately took it to the service centre for them to look at.
I should hear back from them on Sunday or Monday. |

So I got the watch back yesterday evening. The guy in the service centre didn't speak very good English so I am not exactly sure what was wrong with it. Only words I could make out was that it had been "balanced" and "cleaned". Anyway it's back on the wrist today. I set the time yesterday and as of this morning zero seconds lost.
