Update: Kept the SD4k - just bought the MM300 - and now looking for gold..
Well header just about sums it up
For those who didn't read the original thread 1. Getting Married - wanted a "stealth" driver for the wedding in mexico - and needed some dough 2. got an offer to trade my SD4k for a No Date ceramic + MM300.. 3. That became actually being stacking band for the wife + my band, her band + the No Date.. At the end of the day... things started getting complicated valuing the rings, the MM300 i was going to buy from him after the fact became unavailable.., I didn't feel great about picking up the No date and realized it would be a flip back to another SD4K.... Just waited things out got a few wedding gifts, and just went and bought the MM300 (which by the way is actually incredible - I would put it over the non ceramic SD's (not including key vintage models) and the gent is going to do the rings at a fair price. All worked out in the world So now onto a gold watch as the "next" grail (i've long learnt there's no grail anymore just the one that has my attention at the time) PP Calatrava/VC Patrimony... Maybe a Day Date on Leather? (for some reason this combo has me obsessed lately!?) Any Date Dates on leather out there to give me a feel on aprox a 6.85 wrist? and as always THANK you to the community. Once i got the feedback i actually felt worse. I went and tried on the no date and the ultra maxi case.... it just didn't "click" So while i got great advice both ways - the feedback from the community i think helped me make the best possible choice for me PS - SD4K - if ANYONE knows a nato company that makes a strap that will fit into it without having to remove the pins every time send me a PM pls :) |
