Hi Paul,
I was planning on going on the Friday during the day, but would be up for a drink or two on Saturday, preferably in a location near QP rather then Tower Bridge

I'm doing quite a bit of travelling at the moment but, failing any last minute trips, I'm hoping to make it.......

Morning Guys,

looking forward to seeing everyone on the 14th. I have a few questions:

1) We may have two more guests for drinks and dinner, who do I contact re increasing the numbers for dinner?

2) Last year, The Dickens was so packed, it took a while to get drinks, but the biggest issue was finding somewhere to sit. Very loud and dark, so discussing watches proved difficult. Was my first visit to The Dickens, so it could've been a one off. Can we reserve a table for drinks as there could be 10 plus? Is there an alternative venue, closer to SalonQP as was a bit of a trek to Tower Bridge last time?

Michael

Gents

The Phoenix Bar close to Salon QP could be a good meeting point mid to late afternoon post QP. We have been there before in past years but space isnt always great in the bar area. I can speak to them about securing a large table in their restaurant area which we can use for the afternoon. We can do our watch stuff in there have waitress service on the drinks and they do have a dinner menu if we don't want to move on. It looks more like posh Pub.

If anyone can suggest alternative options in the Sloane Square area please chime in. I am only in London 5-6 times a year so my local knowledge isnt the best.

I think waitress service and a reserved table at The Phoenix looks spot-on mate, and you guys are right The Dickens is a fair old schlep from QP so I'm happy with anywhere anyone recommends.

Paul let me know if you want me to send any booking-enquiries out or anything mate, sorry I've not been much help this time round but the impending house-move ( ) and the 'refurb prior to' is taking up all my free brain-space!!

No worries mate. We have a table booked from 3pm for 10 persons. Liza at the Phoenix has confirmed. People can drop in and out as required. I know I will be at Salon QP initially and then making my way over to the pub which will fit in with 3pm.

I will stick a map on the thread nearer the time although a few of us have been there before. Lets hope the rain stays away for a change.

thanks Paul - apologies if my post came over as a bit "screamy"...

I'll ask for a few recommendations in and around SloaneSq/The Kings Rd etc. The Phoenix looks pretty good and if you can secure a table for approx 10-12, should be a blast :-)

Not at all Micheal. I think with a month to go it makes sense to have our ducks in line. I will speak to the Phoenix with a view to securing a table for the afternoon with the option to eat later. If we decide to eat elsewhere I can amend alter accordingly.
