Spectre watch !
Does anyone else here think they should of used the Tudor black bay black on the fabric strap on James bonds wrist instead of the Omega sea master 300!
Or am I just the minority . Cheers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Omega wrote the biggest check so James wears an Omega... but yes it would have been cool to see the new BBB on Bonds wrist

I recently re-watched Casino Royale a few weeks back and that scene on the train when Vesper asks Bond if he wearing a Rolex, and he responds with an Omega just felt weird (no offence to Omega owner's at all), just a shame it was not the other way around!

Product placement... Helps pay for the film. Felt awkward however...

Bond was also drinking Heineken for product placement in Skyfall; just what has to be done these days to get a movie produced.... |

I am as much as an Omega as a Rolex groupie. Mentioning Omega was fine...they both quality. What i thought was overboard, was wearing 2 TYPES of Omegas in the film?..:) I thought that was somehow absurd... Could have jus stuck with the Seamaster and it would have been fine...

Like the Seamaster 300, but you can buy the normal version for 5500€ list price and there are always open for discount at Omega !

or maybe an Apple watch.... The Seamaster was perfect and Omega paid for the advertising. but who cares, why does it matter what "James Bond" wears, it's just a movie. What watch did Ferris Bueller wear. ![]() I mean just think about how many watches people own in this forum and how tastes evolve....why on earth would James Bond an international spy with an unlimited budget wear the same watch foreverrrr, isn't it plausible that he might have more than one brand, more than one watch or flipped it, or that the "James Bond 007" is just a call sign designator and/or that it's a different dude now....no, it must be a RRRRRolexxxx foreverrrr. :( |

What watch did Harry Palmer wear? Far cooler and more interesting than James Bond.

I remember that scene, and agree... I saw the SM 300 Bond edition last week... Cool but north of $8k retail? No thanks. It does come with 2 tickets to the movie though.

Can somebody please point me towards the thread containing this Diet Coke business? I've read a thousand references to it but I somehow missed the original thread, and I feel so left out!
As for Commander Bond, he's a fictional character so he never actually wore anything. However, I think that the purest interpretation would be Bond wearing an Explorer I. |

Whilst Bond never wore an Omega he also never wore a Tudor. Back to reality the Tudor Is not in the same league as the Seamaster 300 Master co-axial. The casework, the bezel, the bracelet quality, and of course the movement of the Omega are all of exquisite quality. Hold one in each hand and literally weigh them up. Putting personal aesthetics choices aside, the BB will look and feel somewhat ordinary.

I agree with this; Bond wears what is considered an ultimate tool watch. As much as I love my BBR, it's a reissue made to emulate the real thing but it's not it. Bond wouldn't wear it. For that matter I even question whether he'd wear any current Omega or Rolex for that matter unless it was worn by the military and had exceptional capability. Considering it is all make believe, I'm not certain how much it really matters.

Reckon he would just wear whatever pays the most to those making the movie.....Rolex maybe don't feel the need?

I do like the Seamaster 300 but I would prefer they go back to Rolex. Since he generally wears at least two per movie he could wear an Explorer 39mm to commemorate Ian Fleming and the original intent. Next he could wear a no date Sub in honor of the the early movies.
