MadeWorn American Hand-Engraved Rolex watches
Sorry if the article has been posted already. I know it's not for everyone but the craftsmanship is pretty good.
Here's the link to the article (with more pics): http://www.ablogtowatch.com/madeworn...rolex-watches/ "MadeWorn is a still pretty new company (founded in 2013) which is the latest project by the well-respected and successful Mr. Blaine Halvorson. Blaine also happens to be a watch guy and recently began an interesting journey that others just like him have taken in the past - to include timepieces in his lifestyle concept in a way that works for his particular tastes and aesthetic. How people like Mr. Halvorson do this really depends on the individual, their connections, and how insanely deep they want to go into the mire which is trying to produce products in the world of watches." Some pics from that article: |

Same here. I wouldn't buy it either but just thought the time, the labor, the love that go into each one of them is pretty amazing.
Yah, especially that DateJust on the second pic. Imho, it looks pretty good. Not so much with the Explorer though. |

The engraving quality looks fantastic, but the concept itself seems a bit odd.
Adding old world design and aesthetics to a rolex? Arguably the essence of modern Swiss watch making technology. Maybe on another brand. A rolex is a high quality precision instrument, doesn't really work with fancy engraving.

Very unique. I think it will create an entirely new group of watch collectors.

Those are beautiful.
Certainly looks a lot better than the personally created artwork on my djii (I scratch the hell out of it all the time). This would cover that up nicely. |

The very first watch on that link with the leather strap looks cool and works, imo. The rest? No thanks.

Hand engraving is a time honored craft. Bracelets, belt buckles, fire arms, knifes, and jewelry have all been treated to these designs for centuries.
The quality and looks here are excellent and good examples of a dying art. It's not for everybody, but then the diamond crusted ones aren't either..

I remember a similar thread here before but it's an interesting topic for sure and it's nice to see it again. They look better than many Bamford etc but you must have 'style' to wear one so not for me.

I guess I need some tattoos...
I think the market for these is even narrower than the Bamford PVD conversions. |

I wonder what the RSC would do when one showed up for service?
I like them and can appreciate the effort but it isn't my style. |
