Tudor Blackbay Service
Just curious, has anyone gotten their Tudor BB serviced? How much would it cost to service the ETA movement?

I believe the UK price is £300.

Any good independent watchmaker can service the 2824 movement, shouldn't be too expensive. I can service one under two hours, it's a great movement IMO.

I don't know if really $300 is worth servicing the Tudor movement. For example, the sale price of complete new ETA 2824-2 movement is around $250.

I've always wondered if an independent watchmaker really have everything necessary to service all these watches with ETA movements out there.
Sure the movement is more or less the same, but the watch itself is different. There are different case backs, seals, gaskets etc. Can an independent watchmaker really service your Tudor to the same level a RSC can? |

Just sent my pelagos in to rolex service center toronto for power reserve issues and a dial defect. Its under warranty but they might tell me how it turns out :)
