Finally arrived!! my first love...

I cannot believe it!! The Explorer 114270 was my first love but since I cannot remember always ran out from me!!
I´m a watch collector and two models are really special for me. One is the 16710 "COKE" because was the model my uncle who died at 36 loved till the end. I can remember when I was a child and he showed the Rolex catalogue with the yellow mark sticked on the 16710. I said WOW and he cutted the picture for me and sticked to my wrist!! he told to me very serious "now you are wearing the best watch in the world!!!" Is one of my best childhood memories!!
When I got older the 114270 attracted me much than oher watches!! I have small wrist and 36mm is the best size for me!! I love its simetry and simplicity of its dial!! I think is the best watch for every day!! I had several opportunities to buy one but always failed...till the other day!! I jumped on this one like hell!!
Hope you will like!!

Congrats Carlos and great story. Hope you get the Coke later on as well. They're two of my favorites.

Great story. It's so nice when a watch holds value because it's attached with wonderful memories!

Thank you all!!Is nice to share this passion with you. Today was a great day!! I miss a lot my uncle. Was the only one in my family to share this amazing love for watches.
Thanks ED for the picture!! is the perfect couple and I can tell you I´m in the pursuit of the COKE and I think in a couple of months I can start to search the movement and hands. I normally buy my watches and service my own but the COKE is different, I´m buying piece per piece all over the world to enjoy building up my uncle´s favorite. I actually have the case, bracelet, crystal, dial and insert and now searching the movement. This a complicate mission due to is hard to find in good conditions and price.
Again, thanks!
