Roc

Do any of you let the chrono function run all the time?

Just had a moment of curiosity this morning and thought I would ask...

Not specific to the ROC, but I typically don't let my chrono run. Not for any reason though! Sometimes I'll flip it on and keep it on for a few days just for fun though!

No real reason to really that I can see, and the only "harm" I could imagine is less power reserve. ABlogToWatch had this as a question

I took mine to Europe in the summer and used the chrono as my home time (just start the chrono at 12:00 at home) worked perfectly as a dual time watch. Otherwise I keep my chronos in position.

Great idea! Will definitely use your advice during my work trips. Thanks for sharing.

apologies for an is it safe question but..is it ok to leave the chrono hour hand on my ROO running past the 12 hour mark? will it just continue running or does it put strain on the movement? would do this with a rolex but i thought AP movements were more delicate

asking this because i love the idea of using it as a dual time watch, had never thought of that before

No it will not.

Depending on what AP chrono you have it will take a toll on the power reserve.

The Offshore line has the chronograph added as an add-on ontop of the regular movement. The Royal Oak line has an integrated chrono, dedicated chronograph movement.

Interesting idea for a ROC to function as a dual timer:)
