Tudor 79280 Dial Question

Dear TRF and Tudor aficionados!

I have a question regarding this Tudor 79280 and it's dial. When it comes to Tudor chronos I usually look up VRF post that says this regarding 79280:

"- 79260/70/80
Ref No. : 79260 (black tachy bezel), 79270 (rotating 1-12 bezel), 79280 (w/ metal tachy bezel)
Production Year : 1995- - "Tiger" (Tudor case/crown) branding 1997
S/N ~ B6xx.xxx, Tiger Serial B94x.xxx-
Movement: valjoux 7550
Bracelet: Oyster bracelet (78400 tudor bracelet with 605 endpiece), Jubilee bracelet 62490 or leather strap.
Notes:Text on dial changed from "Oysterdate" (Tudor case/crown) to "Princedate" (Rolex case/crown) . 2500us$ new
Early type of dial come with T SWISS MADE T and then later changed to SWISS MADE. Sapphire crystal"

The only thing that confuses me is that this dial says "Oysterdate" and not "Princedate", but it's in Rolex Case/Crown. Everything else checks out. I was told this is a transitional model. Here are flickeronies:

Seriously, though. The earlier 792xx had Rolex crown and caseback and Oysterdate on the dial. By the time of the Tiger version the markings were all Tudor and The dial read Prince Date.

In between there were all the possible combinations.

Anyway, we have several members with a lot of Tudor experience and they will surely chime in soon.

But from my point of view, nothing to worry about.

^This, except I've never seen sub dials that color before. They are usually white. Not sure if they are showing some patina. But all looks legit to me otherwise.

I think it may be the light. I've seen one similar

My guess is that those sub-dials were originally white and that's how they discoloured with age.

Beautiful 79280, by the way. I like these better than the 791x0s, even though those are generally considered more collectible.

To the OP, the first time I loaded the page the pics were enormous ! Now they look fine.

Thanks dP, I was hoping you'd reply. Ross Povey also said everything looks legit, and that he has never seen that color dial before. Not a patina, just a very rare dial I guess.
