Good morning and firstly a very happy New year to you all!

I'll confess to being a recent convert to the wonder that is Rolex and do not yet have a vintage one in my collection. I hesitate to call it a collection as its clearly incomplete without at least one! lol

With my 50th coming next year I would dearly like a birth year piece and have started searching in the usual places. I would love a'67 DRSD but apparently I have more chance of growing wings and flying to the Moon so I'm open to other ideas.

So, with this in mind I wondered what suggestions and advice you guys have and also if you know of any reputable sources/contacts that I could please try.

An affordable and appealing choice for me would be a Datejust 1603. Mine is stamped 1966 but was purchased in 1968. Happy New Year and welcome to TRF.

This...a nice example of a 67 Sub or GMT would be an excellent entry into the crazy world of vintage Rolex. Either one would be a good first...word of caution...whatever you get it is not likely to be your last

If you don't mind to consider DJ, they are many available such as 160x and other oyster date.

So many options. I'd love a '67 Sub, 1675, or DJ. Also, you may want to consider a Tudor snowflake.
