Steel Daytona 116520
I am just wondering if anybody knows which is more rare, the White or the Black dial when it comes to the stainless steel Daytona 116520. I have the opportunity to purchase either, but not both

In my opinion, it is a personal choice and what you feel comfortable with. From personal experience the black dial is more difficult to read. However, there seems to be a slight premium on the black dial at the moment.

I see. Well I just really can't decide, they are both pretty nice, but it does seem like the black may be a tiny bit more sought after.

My understanding was that it was the white face SS Daytona that was the most sort after of the two

The black dial seems to fetch a premium especially in Asia and Italy to my knowledge.

However, in North America and UK, the white dial is the more preferred...

I thought I remember reading somewhere that the black has a slightly lower production vs white

I think the white dial is more sought after. But it boils down to personal preference.

I think the regional preferences are probably accurate. However, Rolex is missing the boat. All they would have to do is produce an inordinate amount of one or the other and make that one even more highly sought after! Better yet, make a few SS models with meteorite. People would be getting assasinated for them!
