My wife's push present

My wife and I are expecting our first child. Boy! Due in July. For a push present she hinted at maybe another band for her ring finger but I'm a Rolex guy and had other ideas. 31mm datejust Think she'll like it?

"Push present". If she has a C-section will you have to take it back?

Congratulations!

Ha! That's the first I've ever heard of a "push" present. Congrats to you and the missus.

Does your wife like watches? I sure hope so, it's a beautiful watch. I know my wife is not a watch person so would not want a watch for a push present. Congrats on the upcoming baby boy. My wife and I are expecting our second child in July as well. This one will be a girl. For my wife's push present I may have to stop by Tiffany's.

Congratulations!!! A boy!!!! Awesome! I am sure she will love the 31mm and without a doubt you will be owing her an eternity ring down the road. BTW, I did the exact same thing with our first son:)

Geez, you kidding? A push present?

You give out "doing the laundry" presents also?

I'm starting to see where this female entitlement theme is coming from.

I take it you've never witnessed a child birth or evolved from an archaic perspective on women.

Child birth is certainly not comparable to "doing the laundry". My wife was in labor for over 50 hours. What she went through was like running 2 marathons back to back, but probably worse.

Embrace the modern world dynamic between men and women my friend, you'll be happier in the end.

OP: congrats on the best incoming of all in July, and the watch would make a fine gift!

She's giving birth to my heir and namesake... not to mention carrying him for 40 weeks prior. Slightly different than washing my dirty undies imo.

I'm a female who loves watches but if I hinted I'd like a ring for a present and got a watch instead? It might be a nice gift but you got me what you thought I'd like rather than what I wanted. Not trying to be hurtful or negative but when giving someone a gift I get the recipient what they want, not what I think they want. Only you know if your wife will be happy with a watch instead.

All the best to your wife and you on your new son. :)

Cheers, Sarah

I know what you're saying! And I'll still be on the hook for the ring at some point... maybe anniversary... but a few months back she tried this watch on and fell in love. I played it off like "in your dreams." It will be a good surprise and I think she will forget all about that little ring when she sees this beaut.
