Would you sell the DSOTM&Bluesey for the new Daytona-C?
Contacted my AD and they said im the first "qualified" on the list for the white face ceramic. I've purchased a few watches from them. Since this is looking to be my grail watch I would have to part with the 2 above and probably break even on the new Daytona. The good news it im sure ill have plenty of time to think about it and still enjoy the current 2 watches. Would you give up these 2 for the new Daytona? I really like these 2 and was not planning on letting them go anytime soon but that new Daytona is pretty irresistible.

Hard to say without having seen the new Daytona in the metal.
In theory, probably something I'd do. However, I'm not a TT guy and I have yet to see the DSOTM in person either. Do you wear them both? If it wasn't for the Daytona, would you still be looking to move them on for something else? Are you able to buy the Daytona and if you end up liking it, and then sell? Or do the others have to go first? Easier said than done, but perhaps patience/waiting to see the Daytona, then making a decision is best route. You may not end up being first, but at least in the long run you'll know for sure if you made the right move. That excitement of being first will wear off...and then you could be stuck with a watch and potential financial loss you aren't so excited about after all. |

I do wear them equally and had no intentions of selling until I saw the Daytona. Yes I can get the Daytona first and sell the others after to pay the CC balance

That is a lot to trade for one watch. Can you stand the same watch everyday? Even something so nice is after all, the same, day in and out.

I'm rarely ever in favor of a 2 for 1 flip. Mainly because it leaves way too much opportunity for regret. I almost always regret flipping even one watch, let alone two, let alone two for one. I would sell the DSSD as it will most likely get you more cash and buck up the difference for the Daytona.

Keep the sub and save is what I would do. I sold 2 subs years ago and still regret it!

I say yes, I don't like the DSOTM Omega and I am not a fan of the Blusey.
It's a tough one if the Daytona C is gonna be your only watch.......but it's one hell of a beautiful looking watch! Good luck! |

Personally no...I agree with not selling a 2 for 1 deal. You say its your "grail" now...but you've got a lot of life left to live. In a few years who knows...maybe another grail comes along and now you're stuck with the Daytona-c (which I agree is an amazing watch).
The DSOTM is a tough one...I have many Omegas and have a love/hate for this watch...only reason I havent launched on one. Bit of a purist when it comes to the Speedy. |

No. I would not have two chrono watches even if they're very different from each other.

That's a terrible trade in terms of valuation.
The 116613LB has a HARD CASH SELL Price of $8k. The DSTOM would trade in at around $6200 So that's $14,200.00 Daytona is $12500.00 plus tax... Bad trade because you're trading wholesale BUY value against full RETAIL. Unless you're going to sell them yourself, you will LOSE... |

I'm not a fan of TT Rolex, so I would sell the sub and keep the DSOTM. I really like the ceramic case on the omega and I think it would be a nice alternative as a daily user.

My thoughts exactly. I love the DSOTM, not so much TT Rolex. Sell the Sub yourself to maximize your money, keep the Omega, add the Daytona.

Purely from a value perspective, as others have mentioned, you'd be on the short end of the stick. From a watch ownership perspective, I'd go for it. This Daytona is going to be in crazy high demand for the foreseeable future so if you have a line on one and can get it day one, do it! The DSOM and 116613LB are easily acquired if you want them back in your rotation.

Not a fan of the ones you own right now, so it makes it easy for me to say I would in a heartbeat.

I would do this. I'd try to keep bluesy or maybe also add a used subc no date here for a bit more cash. you could also go used seamaster, oris 65, tudor balckbay - you get my point.
