Oyster bracelet or the President on day date?

Hi
I personally like the ouster bracelet and have it on my dd wg. However some people prefer the President bracelet. Whats the big idea?

The president is the only watch with its own bracelet. And for that reason alone i find it hard not to choose it. It is also very beautiful and comfortable. However, if aiming to be more sporty or understated an oyster is acceptable.

Half the power of that watch comes from the bracket.

My preference would be to wear it with the president bracket or a leather strap.

Absolutely. It's not the same watch on an oyster bracelet.

I always love an understated Rolex (if there is such a thing) so a white gold DD on Oyster sounds pretty good to me. It's invisible to non watch people, looks like a DJ to casual watch fans, and appreciated by people in the know.

President for sure. The only DD reference on which I prefer the Oyster is the 118209.

Just bought a white gold DD40. I asked the AD if it could be used with a leather strap, and he looked like he was in deep shock.
The President bracelet is, for me, easily the best bracelet Rolex make, and only available with a new Day Date. Very comfortable too. But one day, when the novelty wears off, I will try a leather strap, if only for a short while.
Overall though, the Day Date and the President are best seen as one item, not two.

Amazing result.
It is clear that president watch belongs on a president bracelet.
