Will price shot up after Sea-Dweller discontinued?

Seem like the SD stock is running low now, AD are selling it at suggested Retail Price.. Do u think the SD price will drop, maintain or shot up after it's discontinued? and why? Pls advise...

btw has Rolex announce that it's going to be discontinued?

Yes it has been discontinued. Regarding a price increase after AD inventories are exhausted, I doubt it.

The 2008 M serial Sea Dweller is hot as it was "finished"
last June ..never to be seen again.

So brand new M serial 2008 Sea Dwellers are selling well.
AD's sell at 6250 plus tax..
GD's sell at 6600 and no tax..

Can I help and find one for less...?...Maybe... if you are nice....:...

IMHO, the SD will move up in value in a decade or two. Currently, there are a lot of them around.

Eventually it will be a collectable watch, but in the meantime, it's a wearable watch!

Would seriously doubt it just too many of them around, hold its price yes but collectable in real vintage terms IMHO no.

If you like it buy it.
If you buy it wear it.

Think 5513, or maybe 5512.

The 5513 had a shorter run, but I think there are many more of them. Look at where the value of the 5513 is headed. The Sea-Dweller won't be Steve McQueen Explorer collectible, but it will be more collectible than typical sport models.

BTW, I spied a 5512/5513 in the water at the Naval Academy pool a few weeks ago and it was amazing.

It's the same thing as the GMT II's right now, their is this hype that since they are discontinued that everyone is going to make all this money on them, it's just ridiculous. OMG, 3186 movement, this is a collectors piece, it's getting entertaining to watch. The fact is that their are so many SD'ers and GMT II's out their that it makes it kinda hard for them to be called "collectors item's". Just buy what you like and wear it , don't look 40 years into the future.
