Wearing

These may be a silly question for some, but who sleeps with their watch and does wearing it all the time help keep the time better?

I'm sure whoever did probably stopped as soon as they banged it off their nightstand or bedpost

I wear my watches when I sleep and haven't noticed any difference. I am not OCD and I do rotate my pieces frequently.

Took me like a month to get used to sleeping with a wedding ring on, could never go to bed wearing a watch but can fall asleep on planes/in cars with one on...

x2

Watch comes off my wrist right when I walk in the door in the evening and wedding ring comes off before bed...

I used to sleep with my watch for many years but I started taking it off as I went to bed. I didn't personally notice if my watch kept time any better or worse, but I wasn't looking in the first place.

I take mine off and leave it on its side so I can see it glowing!
However, I was bought a watch winder so some nights I put it to bed and tuck it in.

Not me - in the watch box or the winder, if it's not on my wrist.

It's literally on me 24/7.

The only time I take it off is going through TSA at an airport.

Interesting. My son called me yesterday as he was flying for the first time since receiving his Rolex after his December graduation from college. He is in a wedding party and he thought it was a logical time/place to wear it.

He was asking if I took off my Rolex while going through TSA. I told him I never do and I've never had any problems. He let me know this morning that he didn't have any problems.

Back on point of the thread, I take my watch off before going to bed, but I almost never take off my wedding band. Although it's tungsten carbide and gold and somewhat heavy, I hardly know it's on my finger.

Oh wow, that's good to know.

I've just always taken mine off because I already look like a terrorist so I try to give them the least amount of reasons possible to stop me. But if you guys haven't had any problem then maybe I'll give it a try next time!

Why? You're not required to take your watch off, and that's the last place I'd ever want to take it off and let it out of my sight!

I suppose there might be some minor difference because the watch, on the wrist, is kept at a pretty constant temperature. But it will be trivial with a well-desgined watch like a Rolex. I wear it at night so that I know where it is....

I'm sure lost of guys wear their watches to bed... until they smack their wife in the head with a Submariner. Then, not so much...

I never wear a watch to bed. I really want to as I hate taking it off, but it becomes uncomfortable somewhere around 3AM, not sure why. So instead I take it off, kiss the Rolex good night and leave it be till morning. Mine keep good time.
