Rolex at the IPF World Bench Press Championships
Hi everyone,
Just returned from the IPF World Classic Bench Press Championships which was held in Potchefstroom, South Africa. Placed 5th in my weight category (would've got bronze if I was in the next weight class up). I opened with 157.5kg, got 165kg on my second lift and just missed 170kg on my 3rd. A youtube vid of my best lift is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rw4ByI6p0FM I wore my Sub LVc on the day. You can't really see it on the video, but you can see it (well, the glidelock) on the pic attached! Great time, great championships, now back at work and back to reality! |

Didn't think it was safe to wear a Rolex whilst doing that.
Congrats on the placement |

Congrats - and maybe suggest a rules change? If larger mass category competitor(s) can't beat a smaller class result, then the smaller guy should displace the larger guy.

Last time I competed internationally (8 years ago), you could go up a weight class if you weighed over your nominated class limit. That's no longer allowed - probably for admin/organisation sake

What an accomplishment!! Congratulations.
I guess this answers the question - is it safe to wear your Rolex while working out?!? |

Well...that's quite the accomplishment. I salute you, sir.
Maybe if you hadn't been wearing that beastly Lvc, you would have made the 170! |
