What would you rather have poll

Would you rather have 4 modern SS rolex....or any full gold Rolex + 1 SS. What specific watch combination would you pick?

4 ceramic Daytonas is not an option

You should probably have made this an actual poll.

I'd rather have one gold and one stainless steel. I'm not one to rotate through watches --f I have a favorite, that's the one I'm going to wear. Having four SS watches wouldn't work for me, because I'm not interested in enough models to justify taking my Daytona off my wrist!

tough, I'd probably rather have 4 stainless steel watches if you include different brands (i.e one Rolex, one Blancpain, one grand seiko, and if can afford one AP or PP).

But if talking strictly Rolex, I can't think of 4 SS pieces I'd really want to own, and therefore I'd go one gold.

One full gold and one stainless steel for me. My choices would be as follows:

1. Day-Date in any size (36mm is my preference)
2. GMT Master II 116710 BLNR or Submariner 114060

Agree with the above

If you get the DD36 at a good price you can probably grab a second SS piece as well.

I've gone from four Rolexes sports watches (stainless steel) to a Day-Date and Prince, both in white gold. For a 'tough' watch, bought a Grand Seiko diver.
For me, these days, the Rolex to own is a white gold Day-Date 40.

Why the 40 over the 36?? I'm stuck deciding between those 2.

At the moment, I dream of too many SS pieces and not a single specific gold model, so 4 for me.

It doesn't even make sense if you look at the lowest common denominator --
Daytona 520
Daytona 500

I don't really like gold (white or especially yellow) for the weight or softness....so always will stick with more stainless variations if at all possible. But I am running out of stainless ones I want on Rolex so who knows maybe in the future might add some precious metal.

I'd only choose a pm model if it's a DD and a Sub.

Otherwise, give me 4 ss models.

I now have 7 ss and tt rolexes. I often think that I should consolidate but really like the entire collection. Plus I will start giving some away to my boys and ss is fine for them.
