Tudor Boxes
Is it just me, or are the Tudor Boxes simply waaaaay nicer than the boxes for Rolexes. The Tudor boxes have a lacquer finish, and they actually fit everything you are supposed to get (warranty card, instructions, extra strap, receipt, etc.). With the Rolex boxes, I feel like I am struggling to get the sleeve over the box, and for the small boxes for steel watches, they never seem to be able to fit all the materials included with the watch. If Tudors are supposed to be lower-end than Rolex, I definitely don't see it in the boxes. The Tudor boxes in my opinion are so much nicer than the Rolex ones. What's up with that, Rolex?

I do think Rolex boxes should be nicer, but I guess they are trying to reflect their history as a tool watch, rather than a luxury piece.
If they did improve their boxes, I'm sure they'd pass the additional cost onto the consumer tho, and none of us want that. |

People say that the box doesn't matter and that it gets put away in a closet somewhere. That may be true, but compared to where rolex stands in horology, their boxes are a joke. At the very least, if they can't manage to fit everything inside the actual watch box, make the outer cardboard larger and with a separate section for documentation. It's ridiculous that someone can go out and spend 10k, 20k...50k on a watch and it's presented in the type of box that rolex uses. All they need is a nice wooden box with a dark green lacquer with the Rolex logo on top.

Only the Heritage line come with the black lacquer box. Everything else, including the Pelagos and North Flag usually comes with the less attractive, faux leather box, as far as I know.

I bet those other boxes, though, likely adequately hold all the material that is supposed to come with those watches?

Here you go. We'll see if this works. I'm not much of a photographer (used my iPhone) and haven't really posted many pics on this forum.

Cheap Rolex box is ok with me. One less reason for them to increase the price.

No slower than any other day. Packaging is very important to a product. Apple was praised as much for their packaging as for their product. I love when the companies put lots of thought into it. Example: I have the Speedmaster with the new box, and the extra quality is great, I have it on display in my computer room.

Guess you're one of the lucky ones who've never been bothered about the boxes that the steel Rolexes come in. You're probably just lucky to have PM Rolexes. LOL.

If you think Tudor boxes are nice you should check out what comes with the new Omega speed master its amazing...NATO strap, Velcro strap, coin, books, loupe, tool for changing straps, history books, and more. It actually comes in a chest.

Agreed! The newest Speedy Pro reference has a box that's totally over the top! It's actually the only box I've got that hasn't been tossed in a closet, and has been sitting on my dresser since I got the watch.

Rolex boxes have always sucked...I was surprised how nice the Tudor box that my BB black came in. Very nice and everything fit nicely inside.
That Speedy box is awesome 👍🏻 At the end of the day the box is not a big deal to me, but it is kind of comical.
