Pics of your Aquanauts on aftermarket straps?

I've just picked up a 5167a. Really liking the standard strap but I'm interested to see photos of them on different straps.

Would you mind posting up photos if you've done this?

Thanks

Congrats on the pick up, another month another great incoming

After the 116500 I've shortlisted a battle between a 15400 and the 5167a

Has it taken pride of place over the Daytona, which slightly off topic but how's it after a month on the wrist?

And any chance of a side by side pic?

Can’t say I’m surprised, James – the strap colour really didn’t work with that watch (using the first image as presumably the most accurate representation).

The last image is probably the most representative, I agree it is an odd colour but I rolled the dice.

Actually looking at darkening the strap now to try that!

Personally, I’d skip spending time on it, and opt for a custom grey suede from the likes of JacobStraps or Dangerous9.

That sounds like a good option. Grey would work well with the dial; the dial which I assumed was very plain, but is actually bloody wonderful!

There's a green rubber composite strap from Patek that I'd like to get my hands on.

I need this strap too! Any idea if cost is the same as the black rubber?

Wow. It looks great on the green rubber strap.

I haven't been strongly tempted by the 5167 until I saw this pic.

Does anyone here have it or any more pics?

Same as the brown and black, but may be a special order, which could mean a 6-8 week delivery timeframe.

I've been away from the site for a little while so I'm not really up to date on recent threads. When did this strap surface? Any story? Did pp make it just to give a new look for the 5167/64? Same price as black strap? Thanks for any additional info! I like it.

I take it you can no longer purchase the green dial Aquanaut?

It´s available as an option for the 5167 in the PP strap catalogue that the ADs have. I have ordered one from my AD and wait for it to be delivered.

So is it safe to assume based on the underwhelming results of this thread is that most people are happy with the oem rubber, rather than using. an aftermarket strap?

The dial goes quite well with the rubber strap, and it's comfortable.

No problem. Nothing works as good as the oem rubber, but it's good to mix things up every now and then I think

When I changed my bracelet model 5167 1A to tropical rubber strap, I can choose black or brown colour strap, there is no restriction of color as long as there is stock available.
