Daytona 116520 crown unscrewed

Hello guys!
today i re-calibrated my Daytona and then pushed the crown afterwards. Unfortunately, I forgot to screw it and while i began to wash it, i realized it was unscrewed (it took some 5 seconds maybe under water). I panicked and I quickly screwed it. I don't see any water inside the crystal ... yet and watch is still operational. Should I be worried?
thanks.

I would think that you would want to leave it open so any moisture would come out.

But I remember someone saying that even if, A Crown, was unscrewed and put under water briefly, it still has moisture intrusion protection... But, i'm not sure if it was a Submariner crown or Daytona crown... or if it works with both

Somone with more, WIS should be chiming in soon...

God luck

You might have a point there since they're both triplock crowns

your right, there are still gaskets in the tube that help prevent any water getting in assuming the watch hasn't gone deep... but as you were only washing up it should be more than fine, if it were me i would keep an eye on the crystal and if see a drop of moisture/condensation id get it to a watch maker, but you should be ok. i would even possibly try and force and condensation to appear if its present by lightly warming the rear of the case with a hair dryer.... note warm and not make hot and the place an ice cube on the crystal. if there is water inside it will condense on the crystal (think your car in winter), that way you'll know for sure.

Thanks, I will follow your advice and take it to the Rolex boutique. They should know what to do.

I would doubt if you have anything to worry about in such a short and shallow immersion in water. Myself once on a dive in the Red Sea noticed my crown was fully unscrewed on my SD while at 25m plus. But I did not panic as I had a group of divers with me I was guiding over the reef.On return to surface watch was fine and watch is still fine today that was quite a few years ago.

I am glad it turned out well for you. Same happened to me with my 16234 and sadly I had to get 3 wheels replaced in addition to the usual done at service.
