I recently saw the 5204R at an AD, although I didn't get a chance to try it on the wrist due to time constraints.
What are your thoughts on this watch? I have tried on the 5204P white and black dials before and although the RG looks nice on the 5270, it didn't seem as warm on the 5204. Maybe it is something to get used to as the 5204R is such a new watch. Here is a stock photo from the Patek website. When I saw the watch in person behind the glass display it didn't stand out as much as the stock photo. |

I tried one on last moth but just don't like the piston pushers. A personal preference.

I prefer the the 5204P black dial. The sporty lumiscent hour markers consort better with black dial and white metal imho. But I'm biased...

My thoughts are that at the split second chrono level, platinum is the metal of choice, unless someone has a strong preference for RG. |

Love my black dial. Tried on the R and was quite surprised how nice it was in person. Can't go wrong with the 5204! My favorite current production Patek.
