Hi all,

I have a question.

I recently made a purchade of blnr in a local AD few weeks ago.

Met up with a few friend yesterday and all of us are able to feel the weight difference between my blnr and his. We even did a blind test and through weight, we are able to identify the watches.

The differences isnt huge but definitely something we can all feel.

Upon closer inspection, i realised my clasp is polished while his is textured (2014 model) and the oyster bracelet felt looser on mine. (If we swing both rolexes, my bracelet seems to swing more?)

Everything else remains the same except for the weight and the bracelet..

Is there any updates to the 'newer' blnr that leads to this? Im extremely concerned with the differences and that if there's anything i should know regarding the 'newer' blnr

do you have a scale you could tell us what your watch weight is (in grams)
And/or pics of your clasp vs. your friend's clasp

Are both watches sized the same? If you friends watch has an extra link or two, that could explain why his feels heavier.

In fact, i have 1 more link than his. :/

Let me go find a weigh scale to get the weight.

When you get a scales, weigh both yours and his and take a photo of the results.

If your has extra links it should be heavier than his on the scales.
If not this is very interesting.

I wouldn't put much value into you and your friends holding them in your hands and trying to judge the weight.

Weighing watches without using scales will probably not be as accurate.....

God give me strength you guys and your watches just cannot understand why you should be extremely concerned especially when you stated you bought it from a AD.And Rolex do not make models by the year so the small differences to the clasps could be on many serials around in the same time frame.

this is just a "saying" and not to be taken in its true meaning,,,,
like saying "for gods sake" if you were peeved or wanted to get your point across or "for the love of mary" same thing lol,,,
very popular in Catholic familys like mine where these "sayings" are often used

Rang up my AD and was told that they do not know if there's any specifications change from Rolex themselves. and they should weigh the same regardless. I was advised to drop by Rolex Service Centre if I have my doubts. I guess i'd drop by Rolex Service Centre to check for an authentication tomorrow..

although I understand it's silly to send for verification since I got it from AD but would rather have that piece of mind.

I think I am missing something.... the point of purchasing from the AD is so you have piece of mind so technically you should already ave that. I don't really see the point of sending it to a Rolex service center when you purchased it from an authorized dealer?

One extra links is not a hugh difference in weight and I doubt you could feel that difference without a scale.

Hi Wlonggie, the clasps were changed around 2014 (from sandblasted to polished) as shown in the below posts:
