Who knew 46-year-old Pepsi would taste so great.

I've been looking for a nice 16750 for a while now- let's just say a 1675 seduced me away She's got an 800,000 serial- seems to have aged well for a 46-year-old watch. The lume has fallen off the hands, but the P/O had the watch serviced a few years ago (the pieces were removed at that time) so I'm sure it's good for a few more.

I'll let the pictures finish talking- if anyone has more info I'd love to hear it.

-Mike

Maybe around a 62 vintage? Consistent with a long minute marker underline dial as well as the pointy crown guards. Don't see many of these. Do you have a straight on pic of the dial? The angle distorts the minute markers and hides the legend at the bottom Says SWISS??

I imagine with a bit of searching a set of hands might be found if that's something you're considering.

I'll post a better shot of the dial later today- it does in fact say "Swiss"

Very cool!! I would follow Scott's advice and have Bob Ridley service the piece. None better to keep the watch original.

Very nice! Congrats!
When you wnat to have it serviced, contact Bob Ridley and he can fill in the hands so that they match the dial, that way you can keep the entire piece original. Nice find!

It's been ages since I've been on TRF so an update is in order. My beloved pointy Gilt 1675 was sold back in April to a wonderful gentleman on the East coast. To fill the void, I picked up a newer 1970s Pepsi 1675. Here are a few images of her:

Some can get up there. It's nice to see the GMT enjoying a certain amount of spot light after being in the shadow of the Sub. for so long.

I believe it was James Doweling that was quoted as saying the GMT (especially the older gilt dials) might be poised as the next go to vintage for collectors.

Speaking as a fellow TRFer who's been away a long time too, Happy Thanksgiving!!

And the "new" 1675 looks just great. I am a bit biased towards them myself (see the avatar to the left).
