Patek Watch Registration

Hello all,

Has anyone registered their watch with Patek online?

How long does it typically take to get your registration details and what benefits are available to registered owners?

They usually approve within a few days. Then, you will receive the Patek Magazine and an email regularly as well as access to the insider section of the website.

Just did it and it was quick and easy. Instant access to some nice additional content on their website and I'll look forward to the magazine too!

So did it happen instantly for you? I got an email saying it could take up to 6 weeks to verify the info and then I'd get log in details etc.

What kind of additional content is there?

I got that same email, and I even received the magazine a few days ago, but no confirmation / verification email or anything else.
I registered over 2 months ago.

Yoast, was the watch you registered new or an older model? I wonder have they pre approved certain pieces produced past a certain date? My 5970 was originally purchased in '06 so I wonder is that the delay.

If they have sent you the magazine then maybe try to validate your email in the owner's section of the website. You could be registered already but they haven't sent you the confirmation yet. Worth a shot!

I have a new aquanaut on order so it'll be interesting to see how quickly that will register.

Racerdj, I can't wait to see all the little extras, it's a nice touch on Patek's part.

It was an older watch, but not that old (2013). Maybe that is why. I tried to access the owners area, but my email address was not recognized.

Yes, instantly. Nice video content to supplement the magazine I guess. Still waiting for that but I guess it will be whenever the next issue comes out.

Patek has instructed US AD's to register the watch for the customer when they purchase it. My AD fills out the registration card and sends it in. A few months later I get a letter from Patek saying welcome to Patek. I've also registered watches online. You will get a customer ID number and an AD or Patek can look up your previous purchases to see if they should invite you on a manufacture visit etc. I wouldn't count on hearing from Patek via email and the magazine takes awhile to show up.

Thanks Martin. Maybe it's normal for them to take a few months to process the registration.

Sometimes they do...I am mistaken but I thought you had a post stating that you owned multiple Pateks? I can't find it so may be mistaken! Cheers

No, I just have one at the moment. I'm hoping to change that situation dramatically over the next few decades!

I already get the magazine...I still find it annoying that I'm expected to register online after buying a piece.

I'm glad I stumbled onto this. Grey dealer didn't include the owner registration card with the package so it was nice to be able to do it online.

See how long it takes.

I'm in!

Just got an email today telling me I'm registered.

Man, I had no idea there was so much extra material, there's absolutely loads of articles and videos. A few hours worth of stuff.

The time from application to approval was a day short of 7 weeks.

Well worth the wait.

My dealer does the registration. I got a letter a number of months after I bought my last Patek.

Thanks to this thread, I found the online registration as well. I bought my 4-year-old Patek a year ago so hadn't thought about registering it. I went online and registered with the information from the Certificate of Origin and was approved in less than 20 minutes. This is great.

Excellent! It really is great, there's so much info. Literally hours! I suspect that newer pieces are 'pre-registered' to a certain extent.

Enjoy! I'm still working through all the info. Check out the video about perpetuals. V. Entertaining.

Curious how this works with those who have purchased their Pateks either from grey dealers or preowned such that their names aren't on the original Patek paperwork. This create any conflict from Patek's end having online registration diverge from paperwork ownership?
