Datejust on Small wrist

Hey everyone,

I have been considering buying my First rolex, the date Just model, 36mm.

I have Small, 6 inch wrists. I'm not to worried about the watch itself being to Big for me, but I am worried about the bracelet not fitting well. How many links can be removed from the bracelet?

Is there anyone with Small wrist that can confirm the datejust Fits nicely? The bracelet Will be be Fine for 6 inch wrists?

I have the same size wrists and wore a DJ for over 20 years. Just have a Rolex dealer size it for you. They will remove the correct number of links.

How many links can be removed? I Will eventually, Just looking at options now.

I think four, but I don't really remember too well. It should not matter. The watch will fit and look great, who cares how many links are removed?

I have 6,5" wrist and wear the date just ... perfect fit! My GF has wrist size about 6" and she can wear the 40 mm Daytona perfectly as well... so don't worry about sizing, it will fit you just fine!

I feel the Jubilee bracelet fits a small wrist best. I have small wrist and my 36mm DJ with a Jubilee fits me very well.

Depending on the model you may or may not be able to center the clasp on your wrist. The older style oyster has four permanent links, plus the long link attached to the clasp. I can't center those bracelets without breaking a permanent link (which is easy). The newer models did away with the huge link attached to the clasp - I can center those fine.


With a wrist your size, it's always a good idea to worry about sizing.

Personally I still have problems centering my oyster clasp on my 6 inch wrist as per the thread i started yesterday "Clasp length greater than lug to lug length".

Robboman ... its going to depend on your wrist shape and fit expectations but the oyster strap isn't highly flexible due to largish links (no half links) and a very long internal clasp length. This is probably why some are recommending the Jubilee bracelet.

The Oyster might be fine for you, or it might irritate that you can't get the fit exactly how you want it. I'd check out the thread i referenced if you want to know more about what im saying. I'd also ask if an AD would fit the watch to your size before you confirm purchase. They might not do it but no harm in asking

36mm DJ with Jubilee bracelet will fit you just fine. Be aware that the Jubilee bracelet can be adjusted to a smaller size than the Oyster. Moreover, I like the Jubilee bracelet much better for a DJ.

Should be a great fit; almost seems smallish on my huge 6.5 in wrist.

I have a 6.25 inch wrist and I have a 26 mm datejust jubilee all the way up to Subs, a GMT and a Daytona and they are all comfortable

I have a 6" wrist, it fits perfect.

I check the links on my datejust 36mm... You can remove 2 links from the 6 '0' clock side leaving you with total 3 on that side. Additionally, you can remove 4 from the 12 '0'clock side leaving you with 3 on that side.

Visit an AD, try on a few bracelets, explain your concerns and see what they recommend. Fitting to a six inch wrist should be no big deal.

I wear a 16234 and my wrist is about 6.5. No issue and a couple links could easily be removed to go to 6".
