Anyone got experience with watches.co.uk??

Anyone heard anything about this company?
The entire webpage seems to be pretty alright.

I have used them a few time an regretted it every time. They lure you down there with many promises over the phone and email. Then when you arrive its the old pressure tactics. It takes me just under two hours to drive there with traffic. Also though they are very knowledgeable hey use that to their advantage and so will try and exploit you.

I found this especially the case when I first started buying watches. Also if you are thinking of selling and actually take a watch in they will come up with all sorts of excuse to knock you down below what they initially offered. Before I knew about bracelet stretch they convinced me that my SS-pl YM had a really bad case of stretch and rattling in it and I must have played a lot of golf. It was a year old and I had never been near a golf course. If you want a grey dealer I can highly recommend dream watches or watch-finder uk. I have used both, The first is very professional and Dean, will always stick to his word.

Watch-finder Uk have been always superb, also if you contact them references the item you are interested they can sometime surprise you. Watch-finder have always been fantastic to me also. I usually deal with people face to face as I am to eager to wit to get my new toy.

I have purchased from both these two BNIB and had no issues with warranties. Wathfinderuk do have open paper warranties.

I too have used watchfinder, watches of distinction, Blowers, etc in the past and all was OK, but when I bought from www.watches.co.uk I had a less than great buying experience..... although the watch was as described.

Are you looking at new or used? Also you can always try and negoiate, there is no harm in trying. I just simply will not use watches.co.uk as my wife waned to buy me a watch. She rang them up they gave her one price, I rang up to asked about the price and it had changed then so did my parents. Every time the price was different.

It is your money so you can choose to spend it where you will. But after dealing with them on more then 3 occasions. I will never deal with them

I regularly check in on the watches.co.uk to see if there's a good deal but I've never purchased from them.

It is surprising and slightly enlightening that already two members here have had a less than positive experience with them since they make such a big thing about posting their testimonials on their site.

Well speak as you find I have purchased two watches from them the first by post,that watch arrived next day perfect in every way.Second watch bought direct from John again a very good example and at a good price.
