Hulk 116610LV or 116622 YM w/ Platinum Dial

I know these are very different watches, but which would you go for and why? I currently own a 116710BLNR and this would be the 2nd Rolex in my current collection.

Thanks!

Personally I love and own both... But think the ym is more versatile than the lvc. But imo the lvc is far more rugged than the platinum bezel if that's part of the consideration. Both winners can't lose.

Hulk because you need a sub. And because better.

I have both and that's a really tough call. Well, that settles it, buy both.

I think my other challenge too is that I do not want to get something that looks too similar to my Blue/Black GMT.

Personally, I feel that the YM is more of a contrast.

Without my obvious bias, I would still suggest the Hulk. If you buy the YM, you will eventually come back for a Sub, LV or otherwise.

Not to mention that the LV and BLNR are probably the most dynamic duo of Rolex since the 16610/16710 era.

LV. Prefer the ceramic bezel utility to the YM bezel; I never liked how the YM bezel would show wear over time. It's one of the reasons I've held off the rhodium version out now.

I'd vote LV. While I loved my 116622, I hated how dinged up the platinum bezel got (more than the aluminum/steel/ceramic bezels). The new RG YM with the black ceramic insert is VERY appealing. Wonder how long before a ceramic insert is made for the steel YM?

LVC and BLNR are a fantastic duo so for me it's a no brainier.

Hulk for some of the reasons others pointed out. Every collection needs a Sub!

I posted a similar thread last week.
There is no right way, for me I go with colour than utility.
Got BLNR then go Hulk because summer is arriving.
Go YM if you already have a sub, the bling makes a nice match.
I think the blue YM is more stunning than the platinum dial , but BLNR also have blue elements.

I had both, I miss Yacht-Master, it was to hard to read but a great watch. Both are in my top 3. I'll never sell my LVc.

My wife and I have been through 3 16622 so that's how much we like them. It's her favorite but it's so mono tone. I know I'll get one again.

Good luck

Get the LV now and later on come back to a YM, maybe in a PM such as the 116655.

Tough Choice. Don't have the hulk but do have the LN and the sub is iconic but the YM can be sporty and formal and is a water lover too. Very versatile!

Niether, get the YM with the rhodium and sky blue second hand/logo. Tried one on last week. WOW!
