Itching to trade my Hulk for Bluesy...Go or No Go?

I bought my Rolex SubC Hulk last January 2017 together with my Yatchmaster Rhodium almost 24 hours apart. Now im thinking that I should have bought at least a two tone SubC. Will I pursue the Bluesy for my Hulk? What do you think guys?

^This.

If anything save up and add the Bluesy down the road. The LV is a special watch (IMO) you should hang onto it.

Or if you really must at least wait until Basel in a couple weeks just in case they announce the LV is being discontinued (I know highly unlikely, but you never know)

Still, no don't do it Obviously, you have to do what makes you happy, but out of those two options I would much rather have the LV. If you would be happier with the Bluesy and giving up the LV then more power to you (IMO)

Let us know what you end up deciding

Im totally on the fence here...I don't want to add another Sub in my collection. Don't get me wrong I love the hulk, but something in me that says Bluesy. I should have avoided Bluesy thread I guess....

Hahaha, I get you. I mean in the end if you think you would be happier with a Bluesy then by all means do what makes you happy. You can always add a Bluesy I doubt Rolex will ever stop making them (obviously I could be wrong) but who knows if you trade it and then 5 years down the road you really miss it and it's discontinued you could end up paying a premium.

That said don't listen to anyone else, do what your gut tells you. I didn't listen to anyone here and it cost me money but in I had to figure it out for myself and I got to try different models in the process and really figure out what I liked. Turns out now I'm adding a no date sub back into my collection because I miss it and because I now have the LV (I had the LN but couldn't justify having two sub dates so I get your dilema.)

Whatever you do make sure to let us know and post pics

Before I thought that iam a one watch man. I thought when I bought a Rolex (no model specifically in mind) that's it happiness. But what happened to me was insanity. January 10, 2017 1pm I bought Yachtmaster Rhodium 40mm...and wow its Nirvana....January 11, 2017 11am my local AD called that a single unit of Rolex Hulk is available and 20 other guys are in line and no discount will be given. Alas....30mins after I hand over the cash and its on my wrist. Totally not regretting... but until I realized I want a two tone Subc...

Whatever makes you happy. I'm personally not a fan of the green dial. The dial on the TT Blue Sub is amazing.

I would keep the Hulk unless I was trading up to a full gold Sub.

No way. The LV is in very high demand right now and the bluesy definitely isn't. Keep the hulk forever, because it will only go up in price, especially if they discontinue it because it's such a unique sub. The bluesy has been around for quite a while and is a considerably worse investment (compared to hulk). It also isn't going anywhere so my best advice is to keep the two pieces you have, wear and enjoy, and just save for a bluesy or whatever if your taste changes.

Exactly what I just said. Only add.

I traded my 116613 and my deep sea for a 116618. That was an upgrade.

You are making a quasi side-step and maybe you won't even be happy as you think you will be.

Only trade FOR AN UPGRADE!!!

Agree would only trade the LVc for full gold. In fact that's what I did and makes it easy to have no regrets!

X2 on this ^ OP. Not a fan of TT myself. Plus you just got the hulk. Give it some time and think it over.

Both are beautiful watches. But I think I would keep my hulk. If anything just add the blusey to your collection if $$ isn't an issue.

I've had both in my house for a couple of years. My wife wears the Hulk so it doesn't get wrist time with me. Both beautiful and certainly can be in part of the same collection.

Were it me, I'd forget the investment component of it although it's mentioned in a lot of responses. Not disagreeing but for me, it makes my decisions easier when I remind myself that I have no plans to be a watch reseller or even thinking about selling. Nothing wrong with it but if I considered resale and what to buy and keep, my experience would be different and less enjoyable. Buying Rolex's in general, at the going rate on here, is my insurance that I'm not going to take too big of a bath if I change my mind or want to reconfigure.

Totally agree with you bud! I never consider watch collecting as an investment. Its more of a hobby and just enjoying the experience of having one in my possession....

No way ... just add the Bluesy.
You said you were looking for a third watch to add to your pair. https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=521384
