Just spotted this used BLNR...£8,500

Behind it, a 16610LV for £7,950

Never a shock to see appalling prices at pre-owned dealers but these prices were particularly shocking.

Can't believe someone would ever pay that madness...

They maybe hard to locate in London (not sure about up North) but out of the city they can be had, I had a call on one last Friday (gutted as I thought it was a Daytona call)

Well some pay crazy prices for the Daytona C,asking price is a lot different to the selling price.

£2K over retail for a used one is just ludicrous, probably telling customers a horrible garish red one is replacing this next week so get it while you can!

This is a second hand dealer but may be a "BNIB" watch, but £2k more than a brand new one from an AD. You can still see stickers but cannot comment as to condition.

Granted they're hard to source new but I just though the £8,500 was taking the pi$$.

For those wondering, it's the Chisholm Hunter used branch in Argyll Arcade Glasgow (old WOS shop).

I don't think a tax refund is available on a 2nd hand watch. I may be wrong...pretty sure the retailer will pay VAT on the margin but the watch itself won't be eligible for refund of tax.

i heard of this but how do they judge if an item is new -- this watch is still stickered up etc

whats to stop an AD (or any shop) selling their products as used to avoid having to charge VAT?

Probably as they've purchased the watch preowned and vat has already been paid on original invoice when it was purchased new.
I am unsure of the ins and outs of it to be fair.
